Opening Doors Opening Lives

Opening Doors, Opening Lives
I met this incredible woman at the Delta Kappa Gamma conference in May.  She is an educator passionate about her cause.  I recommend you get and read her book, I did.

Jennifer Greening, Ed.S., lives, works, and plays with her husband and three children in Southeastern Michigan.

While teaching, she has earned many degrees in the field of education. She believes her greatest education has occurred while holding the hand of her child with disabilities, and enthusiastically shares her vision of all children learning together in their neighborhood schools.

Ms Martin is a Martian Miss Martin is a Martian
I met Colleen and listened to her incredible story.  She was nice enough to sign a copy of Miss Martin is a Martian for me.  I love her books and look forward to reading them to me nieces and nephews.

Colleen Murray Fisher was raised in Marlette, Michigan—a small city with a big heart. Having many wonderful teachers throughout her life, Colleen knew that she always wanted to work with children. She earned a Master of Arts in Teaching and Curriculum from Michigan State University and has been teaching elementary children for fourteen years. She is a self-taught artist who enjoys using her talents to make her students smile and enhance their learning experience.

Colleen and her loving husband, Jason, reside in southeastern Michigan. Together they recently adopted two beautiful children, Sofie and Sam, from Ethiopia.

Colleen wrote and illustrated The One and Only Bernadette P. McMullen-a USA News Best Books Finalist.  She also illustrated Oh No! Ah Yes!  (A Mom’ Choice Silver Medal Award Winner) and I Can Dance, Too!  (A Mom’s Choice Gold Medal Award Winner).  Finally, she wrote Miss Martin is a Martian which was chosen as the Michigan Elementary and Middle School Principal Association “Children’s Book Award Winner.”
